In this encouraging message, Pastor Josh Cooke explores the powerful truth that we no longer have to live separated from God. Using the historical context of the Bible, he explains how a thick curtain or “veil” once separated people from God’s holy presence in the temple to protect them from the overwhelming intensity of His glory.
However, the moment Jesus died on the cross, that veil was torn from top to bottom. This signifies that the barrier is gone and “access is granted” to everyone. We are invited to move past “religion”—the exhausting cycle of trying to be “good enough” or following rules to earn God’s approval—and instead enjoy a real, daily relationship with Him. By letting go of our own “masks” and guilt, we can experience God’s tangible peace and transformation in our everyday lives.
